The eagerly awaited sequel to The Road to Grandeur thrust readers into the chaotic background of Slicy, the anti-hero from the first novel. It continues with character-driven action and adventure while the Chosen continue their search while trying to desperately elude King Zolf who always seems to be one step ahead.
Having just defeated a small army outside of the walls of Grandeur, the first two Chosen must continue their journey to reunite all five Chosen before King Zolf decimates the population. Cameron leads the group north, but while traveling, he demands Slicy to tell of his history. Slicy has a dark past, and Cameron knows it. The rest of the group initially want the assassin as part of their group, but will they allow him to stay after learning of his past and the decisions he has made? Or has Slicy simply made A Fool’s Choice?
